Tale
A two-hour window into the heart of Hayao Miyazaki’s creative process, this documentary follows the six long years of work during the making of the Japanese animation master’s latest film, The Boy and the Hero. A moving and funny documentary. Kaku Arakawa gets to closely follow Hayao Miyazaki’s creative process during the making of The Boy and the Hero. He beautifully combines scenes from Miyazaki’s films with real people involved in the making of the film and people who were/were important to Miyazaki. I saw this film at the Helsinki International Film Festival Love & Anarchy. Some moments had the audience laughing out loud, and sometimes people wiped their faces. I hope Miyazaki can make more films. I cannot recommend this documentary enough to any Ghibli fan.
